AVATAR is an established and successful full-service marketing agency with digital at the core owned by Zibusiso Mkhwanazi and Veli Ngubane.
AVATAR unites a professional team of over 60 marketers which consists of creatives, developers, writers, strategists, account managers, producers and many others. We create ideas which impact some of the world’s most recognised brands including Brand South Africa, National Geographic, Fox International Channels and South African Airways to disruptive challenger brands like us.
We help our customers of all shapes and sizes decide what’s next for their business, and then we take them there by helping them build great brands and engaging customer experiences.

Zibusiso Is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and was a contender for Most Admired Ad Agency Boss in South Africa and in Jozi in the MarkLives Agency Leaders’ Most Admired poll for 2016.
He has completed management programmes at Harvard and Yale.
Veli entered the world of advertising after completing his BSocSci (Politics, Economics & Law) at the University of Cape Town and a postgraduate Marketing & Advertising diploma at the Red & Yellow School, where he currently serves as advisory board Chairman. He is also a board member at the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa (DMSA). He has judged all the prestigious creative awards in South Africa including: the Loeries, Apex, Pendorings and Adfocus awards. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and transformation within the advertising industry. He sits on IAB’s Transformation & Education Council. He was also chosen as one of Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Youth of 2017.
